B. On PMIMY Membership​

2. What are the benefits of becoming PMI Malaysia Chapter member?

 

Here are some of the benefits:

  • Networking: One of the main advantages to joining PMI is to meet with other PMs across a broad cross section of industries and to share experiences etc.
  • Events: PMI Malaysia runs a number of events each year. These events are open to all but at highly concessional rates to members of the PMI Malaysia chapter.
  • PM Publications: PMI members receive a monthly publication 'PM Network' as well as other publications.

C. On PMIMY Chapter Activities​

PMI Malaysia Chapter generally meets once a month through some regular activities like evening talks, annual general body meeting, membership night and the annual international project management symposium.

D. On PMI Certifications

E. On Professional Development Units (PDUs)​

There are many ways to earn PDUs. The local PMI chapter provides a number of these including Membership evening talks and many volunteer opportunities within the chapter. PDUs earned through:

 

a. Education – academic, face-to-face, online training or courses by REPs, self-learning, digital media and informal learning.

 

b. Organization meetings - Meetings, activities and local events related to the profession Typically limited to 1–2 PDUs

 

c. Work as a practitioner or by creating content relating to Project management, Giving a presentation or sharing the knowledge with others
